Venus Freeze

Everyone wants tight, toned and youthful-looking skin. But as we age, our bodies begin to produce less collagen and elastin, and this can have a significant impact on our appearance. Collagen, responsible for the underlying structures of our skin, helps maintain good skin tone. Without it, our skin can begin to look droopy and saggy.

However, new treatment methods are available which are highly-effective, fast, safe and offer long-lasting results. One treatment to combat poor skin tone is Venus Freeze, which you can have at Spa Sydell. The procedure typically takes 30 minutes or less and stimulates your body’s natural healing response to produce results without downtime or recovery.

What is Venus Freeze?

Venus Freeze gently heats the deeper layers of your skin which spurs your body’s natural healing response, increasing collagen and elastin production in the skin and enhancing its underlying support structures. The results are firmer and smoother skin that looks rejuvenated, naturally. Patients see results after only a few treatments, and the procedure is very comfortable and has no downtime so you can return to your daily activities right away. The treatment is also safe for darker skin tones.

How does Venus Freeze work?

Venus Freeze uses two technologies in combination to rejuvenate the skin safely and effectively.

  • Multi-Polar Radio Frequency (RF). Venus Freeze uses RF to heat the deeper layers of the skin. In response, the heated skin layers produced more collagen and elastin which helps restore underlying skin structures and tighten the upper layers of the skin over time.
  • Pulsed Electro Magnetic Fields (PEMF). PEMF uses magnetic energy to enhance the effects of the delivered RF energy and also minimize discomfort.

These two methods work synergistically to create tightening, followed by neocollagenesis. RF heats and directly stimulates fibroblasts, while PEMF is known to promote angiogenesis and induce fibroblast proliferation through release of the growth factor FGF-2, resulting in increased collagen synthesis.

Venus Freeze Questions

A Venus Freeze skin-tightening session typically lasts between 15 and 30 minutes. Factors that will determine the length of your treatment time include the amount of skin area being treated and the severity of symptoms in those areas. Your Spa Sydell medical provider can provide you with an accurate estimate of how long your Venus Freeze session will last, and how many sessions you will need to see results. Typically, patients begin with a course of treatment that includes six to eight sessions.

A Venus Freeze treatment does not have any downtime or recovery. After having Venus Freeze, you can immediately return to your regular daily schedule, and you will have no aftercare instructions to follow.

Your results will begin to develop immediately after having your Venus Freeze treatment and will continue to develop over the next 3 to 4 months. Some patients may notice improvements right away; however, most see improvements in the weeks following their last treatment. To maintain your results, you will need to have 3 to 4 additional Venus Freeze treatments per year scheduled regularly.

Your Venus Freeze results will last 3 to 4 months after your final treatment, but you can preserve your results almost indefinitely with additional treatments at regular intervals. The number of follow-up treatments you will need to maintain your results will depend on the severity of your symptoms, but typically, most Venus Freeze patients will have touch-ups either every month or every 3 to 4 months.
